Android 2.2 Operating System – Google Froyo
Google’s Android was developed just for cell phones; however, the Froyo version is set for much more. It seems like on the horizon there will be faster processing and flash support along with an update called gingerbread. Google is planning quite the buffet of Android.

Google Froyo will feature Flash
While Apple continues to refuse supporting Flash on their phones, Google Froyo will support Flash 10.1. The feature is creating quite the buzz as there are concerns Froyo’s Flash support might use a lot of battery power. Sure, Flash can be used for getting work done, but more exciting is that app developers can now use the Google Android 2.2/Froyo platform to create games. That’s an online personal loan that can really pay off for talented developers.
Hulu doesn’t find Froyo tasty enough
The multi channel TV service, Hulu, doesn’t seem to be playing nice with Froyo. The Flash 10.1 support on Froyo phones won’t include Hulu only because of content support issues. Hulu will work with Google TV, which will be running on a modified Froyo system, according to the announcement at the Google I/O conference.
Faster, smoother, prettier Froyo
Flash won’t be the only thing updated on the Froyo phone. Android 2.2 is a faster operating system, and provides a much more smooth browsing experience. Froyo will also allow users to transfer the apps they download to their MicroSD card – removing the necessity of downloading them multiple times when you purchase a new handset.
Froyo to melt in Winter
In just a few weeks, Froyo will be available for download and updates. Don’t get too comfortable with the new operating system though. Version 2.3, codenamed “Gingerbread”, will be released in the fourth quarter of 2010. Froyo will only be the system you use in the summer months.
